Sneak Peek: Steve Madden Wheatley in Patent Nude

I know! I'm totally driving you guys nuts with my "Sneak Peeks," yes I am aware they are cop-outs of my usual posts, but I always find myself super busy in the day and come nightfall, I am ready to pass out.  So I literally got on my computer just now, grabbed my camera, and leaned over my chair to take these pics.

Oh and please ignore my ugly heels, they are chapped, so I have strategically covered them :)

Aren't I clever? tee-he-he

At least, I tried to.  Any suggestions for a good foot cream that doesn't smell weird?  Please let me know as this is the first time my feet are doing this, I guess the cold spring showers are finally getting to my skin.  HELP!

The reason I really wanted to get at least some pics of this shoe up is because I'm likely to be late on getting my full and thorough review on these posted.  I believe that I first spotted these online about 2-3 weeks ago and it was love at first sight!   I was set on ordering them but I decided I'd wait for a couple of days, well, lo and behold I check for them 3 days later and they were gone from the website!  I googled like a mad woman and yielded NOTHING.

Devastated, I cried for 6 days over my long lost love....ok, so maybe I didn't do that, but essentially, I gave up my search for them.  Then, I decided to call up the Steve Madden number to inquire about the case of the vanishing wedges, where a representative couldn't find any trace in her database of the Wheatley and said she had never even heard of it!  But then she came across some info and told me that apparently the shoe was only shipped to a few select stores, and proceeded to tell me which stores had them in my size.

Nail Polish: Zoya Sienna (You can barely see it, it's a shimmery orange with gold glitter)

And guess what? Lucky, lucky me, remember how I've been out of town?  Well the town I was in had one of those select Steve Madden stores.  So instead of having the store ship them out to me, I went in person to pick them up.  They had the cognac ones in size 6, which I also bought but haven't taken pics of, but they only had the patent nude ones in 5.5.

MMM, that was a bit of a stretch as I am usually a 6 leaning toward a 6.5.  But I went ahead and tried them on, and as you can see, they fit perfect!  The size 6's also fit me perfect, weird huh?

Well, if you like them, definitely give your local Steve Madden a call to see if they carry them so you can check them out in person.  And if not, certain stores are willing to ship them from the store to your house.  Oh AND, I was extra happy because they were also part of the 30% off new styles promo.  These are also available in patent black.

So good luck with these very elusive wedges ladies!

P.S: Can you imagine if I had never taken note of the name when I saw them online?  I would have never found them!

**SHOCK, FEAR, HORROR**   ;)

Bebe Field Messenger Tote in Black

I finally purchased this purse after weeks and weeks of staring at it:

I am so in love with the style of this bag which is aptly described on the bebe site as "school girl chic."

Where do I start with this one?  I have seen several styles of these bags but this one hit all the high points that I was looking for.  First of all, it's made of leather which equals A+++++++ for durability, since about 2 months ago I bought a purse from New York and Company, it was this really cute braided handle bag in cognac, which I suspected would probably last about 6 months.  Well, can you imagine my face when after about 3 weeks of carrying it the handles and the seams were coming apart?

:|

I knew it would happen, but not THAT fast.

I buy items because I like them, not because of the brand.  And while I am definitely inclined to certain brands, I will buy something as long as I truly love it, whether it's a designer purse, or a made in china $30 purse.  But I have definitely learned my lesson to watch my step a bit closer.  The only reason I didn't think it would rip so fast is because I have several purses from Aldo which range from $30-$50, which have taken absolute beatings from me for YEARS, carrying heavy laptops, netbooks, notebooks, folders, etc, and they are good as new even though they are not real leather.  Hmmm, guess they have better craftsmanship.....

Anyway, back to the Tote!

I'm a fan of having that detachable shoulder strap even though I hardly use it, I think it gives it a nice touch to see it layered around the purse.  And when you're in places where you get your hands tied, like the airport or juggling food and bags, its a great way to get your hands free.

It also has a bit of a briefcase look to it with a more feminine, edgy, and classy touch.

The best part? It was $198.00 but now its been reduced to $99.99!!!

50% off?? I'm there!

I am so glad I didn't buy it earlier or I would be giving myself a swift kick in the butt right now.  I guess I'm lucky that it doesn't come in other colors or else I'd be in big trouble :)

If you love it as much as I do, get it now before this baby runs out.

Bebe Naina in White: A Sneak Peek

Love it! Full post in the near future.

Nail of the Week

So I'm back with another blurry manicure, these came out slightly closer than the last ones but I guess they will have to do for now.

Products Used:
China Glaze - Base Coat
Sinful Colors - Forget Now 321
Kiss Nail Artist - Soft Pink
Sinful Colors - Pinky Glitter 830
Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat

I find that doing manicures with glitter helps the color to last longer probably because all the nail enamel is sealed underneath.  The only thing is that glitter is such a pain to remove and takes much longer than regular creme finishes to take off.  I have not posted any creme finish manicures just because I don't think they look interesting enough to show but I think they'll probably photograph better since there's no glitter making my focus go nuts.

Hope you can get an idea of what it looks from my uber-professional shots :)

And here is one without flash:

Hope you enjoy this one, I will probably start naming my Nail of the Week's in order to differentiate them and reference them.  What should I call this one?

Have a good one!

Finally Back!

It's been a super stressful week and I hate that this next week is also going to be the same but I am very thankful to be back home, finally!

While I spent most of my time attending to business while I was away, I still managed to squeeze in a little shopping, of course.  I picked up one pair of shoes from Bakers, Fanta in red, and 2 pairs of wedges from Steve Madden which I had been lusting after for a little while.  Oh and a very inexpensive pair of Speed Limit 98 heels, the patent nude ones that I've been wanting forever!

Bakers Fanta

Speed Limit 98 Nude Pump

Once I get unpacked and settled down I will continue with my posting and hopefully this week will go on without a hitch.  Oh, and by the way, I received my white bebe Naina heels, they are so beautiful!  I think they might be my favorite.....

Later!

Enough With the Bebe Naina Already!

I know! I promise this is the last time I'll mention them... maybe.

I found them in nude!

I should have snapped a picture but I completely spaced.  It's just like the all-black pair in the sense that it's matte with faux snakeskin accents.   The best example I can use to describe the tone of this nude is MAC lipstick in Myth, it's that super pale beige tone with a tiny ounce of taupe in it.

So far, I have not seen this color available on bebe's website or on endless.com or other websites that carry this shoe.  If you are interested, visit your local bebe store and ask for it as it is the only place I have seen it.

Good luck!

OH NO!!! Bebe Naina In More Colors!!???

That is bad news for my wallet.  I have been avoiding shoe and clothing websites like the plague due to a future personal project that requires funding.  Along with this, I also have some traveling to do which is why I will likely have less posts next week as I will be out of town, and again, I am trying to keep my spending at a minimum.

I already own the bebe Naina's in the colors pictured below:

They are sky-high, sexy, and the tan pair is perfect for spring.

So can you believe how my heart both rose and sank when I saw them in new, gorgeous colors??

Black/Cork                                      Teal/Cork                                    White/Cork

While I am absolutely amazed by these colors, I have decided to control myself and only get the white.

 I have no words!!

The black/cork combo is a more casual version than the black snakeskin version and it goes better with jeans.  The white is ideal to pair with summer dresses and can you imagine them with a crisp white dress and a huge floppy hat like this:

Coco Rocha in all her H&M glory

Ok, so I'm getting a little carried away, back to the shoes!  The teal... wow, do I even have to say anything??

No, I don't.  :)

Oh and you know how bebe doesn't make half sizes?  Well, they might be changing that because I found these in half sizes on both endless.com and heels.com.  Weird, is it just exclusive to those sites or is bebe finally making half sizes???

My typical size, 6, fits a little snug, so I'm wondering if I should grab a 6.5, but with little support in terms of helping the shoes stay on, i.e straps, zippers, buckles,  I am wondering if this shoe runs small to help it stay on your foot, especially because of the d'orsay design.

When I end up getting them, and if you want them too, make sure you order them from endless.com because they have a great promo that starts on March 16-18.  It's their friends & family sale for 25% off your order, the promo code is

MARFFEVT

I will be sure to let you know if this code works when I order these.

***UPDATE*** I ordered them, the code definitely works!

 Find them HERE

Wish me luck!

A Recent Haul: Bebe

I can't remember how long ago I bought these pieces, maybe like a month ago??  Well, I figured I'd post them as a haul and maybe even begin posting about my hauls in general.

Nicola Romper

I adore this romper!  It is super fitted and doesn't give you that ugly, wedgie look that some rompers can have.  The straps are adjustable and you can cinch it for an even more fitted look or replace the sash with your own belt.  I have a very difficult time finding rompers that don't look like they are swallowing me alive so this one was a must-buy for me.

Oh, and I got the white one too....

I know, I know, shame on me.  But really!  I have been searching for a well-fitted romper for over 2 years, no joke, so I absolutely had to get both colors since it felt like it was practically tailored to me.  So far,  I am still on the hunt for the rompers with the cropped bottoms but I don't see those in stores very often.

Next, was an item that I absolutely did not need but had to have:

I knew when I saw this that I was going to love it and I even told myself in the store, "don't you dare try that on," because once I love something it's practically impossible to convince myself to leave without it.  So my usual tactic is not to try it on at all.  Well, I thought that this one would be different, that even if I loved it I'd have enough sense to put it back.  That didn't happen!

It's incredibly beautiful once its on and this hanger shot does it absolutely zero justice.  The fabric drapes beautifully over the chest, legs, and rear and the peep on the side of the dress gives it a much bolder edge.  There's a slip underneath so you don't have to worry about any tacky transparency.  I thought that I would for sure hate the strip of gold on the waist but it was surprisingly appropriate.

Well, that's all I have for now, I hope you enjoyed my picks.

Have you picked up any items you couldn't bear to leave the store without recently???

Do tell!

A Look Into My Lipgloss/Lipstick Drawer

Well, at least a look into one of them :)  Keep in mind, I have been an avid makeup collector for about 4 years and did not buy all these in one day.  I might do a couple more of these posts for the rest of my lip stuff, I usually store my MAC separately as well as my drugstore items, although there are definitely drug store items present in this drawer as well.

I store my stuff in those plastic containers that you can find at Target.  I am thinking about changing my storage system but so far, this works pretty well.  There's no real organization to this drawer, I try to keep only lipglosses here but a few lipsticks have slipped through.

Here are some of my favorite squeezy-tube glosses.   Lancome's Juicy Tubes are great in terms of shine but I definitely would not purchase them for color payoff as they are very light in pigment.  The Revlon Beyond Natural are awesome, they have great pigmentation comparable to MAC lipglasses but this line came out quite a while ago and I doubt they still sell them.

More randomness: Lorac, Too Faced, L'Oreal HIP

I have no idea why I keep these particular ones boxed,  I always throw away the packaging for most of my stuff.  I think it's because I'm always rotating the lip stuff I carry in my purse so I like to put them in their box when I'm not using them.  Anyway, the YSL came out super blurry, probably because of the reflective gold color of the box.  The Rouge Volupte are absolutely amazing lipsticks but I think I'll do a separate review for those.

I would have to say I'm a total sucker for nude lips and end up buying a lot of different variations of the nude lip like pink, beige, taupe and so on.  I own a few reds but I very rarely wear them.

Oh, an as far as my fav lipstick......Too Faced Lip of Luxury in Totally Nude.  I have two :)

So that's it, enjoy!

Out Of the Vault: Bebe Bailey in Patent Black

These are my absolute favorite pair of black patent pumps.  They are super high, steep, and classy; they really dress up almost any outfit.

Defined As:  Closed Toe Patent Platform Pump

Heel Height: Approximately 5 Inches

These pumps are not the most comfortable pumps I've worn.  They've got a bit of the same issue that the Steve Madden Mckenzie and the Bebe Daniela boot have, although not as extreme as those boots.  They feel much steeper than the typical platform pump because of the small size of the platform in ratio to the height of the heel.  It takes a couple of minutes of getting used to in order to adjust your stride to it but it's definitely walkable.

I absolutely adore the flash of the golden sole, it stands out so well against the patent black.  I have been wanting these in the other 3 colors, the red, bone, and blue, but these came out a while ago and I was lucky to even get these.  I got them at a huge discount through amazon, they were on sale plus they were having a 25% off of all pumps at the time.

I have seen these on 6pm.com as well but alas, not in my size :(

Oh well, I am super happy with the black!

I totally forgot to take my close-up "portrait" shot that's level to the floor so I included this as a substitute:

I haven't found the original Bailey, but similar styles currently available are the bebe Bailey II and Bailey III.

Bebe Bailey II
You can find it at 6pm HERE.  Also available in black.

Bebe Bailey III
Find it at 6pm.com HERE.  Also available in gold and silver.

I decided to link 6pm.com instead of amazon.com because they are cheaper at 6pm.  Bailey II on 6pm has more sizes and colors than amazon.  The Bailey III is $91.00 - $118.30 on amazon whereas 6pm has them at $91.00 no matter what size/color combination you choose.

Get to shopping!

*Out of the Vault: A series featuring shoes that are already present in my shoe collection, essentially, they are not new or recent purchases*

Nail of the Week

So I definitely need to figure out how to work my camera in order to get better shots of my nails.  They are super difficult to photograph and I might need outdoor lighting for these.

But, for now, here are my amateur, blurry photos.  I'm posting them pretty small because it's the only way they won't look super blurry.

Products Used:
China Glaze - Base Coat
Zoya Polish - Robyn
Milani Nail Art - White Canvas 704
Sinful Colors - Hottie 831 (Glitter)
Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat

I really enjoy playing around with nail art and trying out different designs.  I am by no means a professional, I just do it for fun and and I only recently started trying out layering nail art with glitter and so on.  This particular look reminded me of how snow glistens when then the sun shines over it.

I will definitely be working on picture quality so you can get a much better look than that^^^^^

Have a good one!

Bebe Spring Items

I know I haven't been on in a while but little sleep and tons of work are not a good combination!  I have a couple of pairs of shoes lined up but first I wanted to share some of the items of very high interest to me from Bebe's spring line.  Unfortunately for me, I am on an absolute no buy for some time due to an upcoming project.

First, of course, the shoes:

Naina in Tan/Cork and Black/Faux Snake Skin

Ok, so maybe I bought these before I hit the "No Buy" rule!  These run a half a size too small, just like all the other reviewers on the website say.  Looks like it's time for half sizes Bebe.

Edie

I was actually looking for the tan colored ones but I think those are sold out already.  The white ones are just as nice though, the wood over the cork works on so many levels.

Jolene

I love the treaded sole on these, they are just like a few of the boots that were released during the fall/winter of 2010.

The clothes:

Flared A-Line Dress

These are just begging for accessories.  They're so simple but they have a great air of class that carries them on their own.  Both colors are nice but I especially love the white.

Left: Miranda High Waist Flare/ Right: Sailor Pant

Everybody needs a great pair of high-waisted pants.  They can be a little difficult to pull off but with the right top and accessories they can look so effortless, especially if you get them tailored to your body.

Nicola Romper

I'm not sure of the material on this romper, I'm guessing it's linen just from the look of it but correct me if I'm wrong.  This piece has that really fresh, clean look to it, the cuff on the shorts and sash are perfect little details that don't overwhelm the romper.

Drape Skirt Trench Dress

Wow! What a twist on the traditional winter trench.  The lightweight silk material is ideal for spring weather and can be combined with dark tights,on slightly chillier days, and black patent pumps for a more formal look.

So those are my current picks for spring of this year from bebe, what trends are you guys loving?
