Cue "Hallelujah" music................................ now:
GORGE-OSITY!
I can't stand it, this heel is amazing! So perfect for spring and summer, I'm loving the brown and tan combo, ankle strap, tall skinny heel. But at $1,495.00, just the tax is making me sweat.
Anyway, it's a beautiful shoe, and can be found at the Jimmy Choo website under the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
Have fun!

Out of the Vault: Aldo Ratkovich
I've had these in my possession since around Thanksgiving and they were part of my 5 top shoes of 2010 list. Here they are:
Defined As: Triple Buckle Zippered Platform Bootie with Faux Shearling Lining
Nail Polish: China Glaze - Blue Sparrow
I forgot to take a picture of the back view of this shoe!

I'm completely obsessed with the color on these booties. It's not as bright as a cognac toned shoe and it's not necessarily dark brown either. While this shoe is probably better suited for fall, which is when I purchased it, I am still wearing it like crazy anyways.

The heel on Ratkovish is not that high but I think that the overall look and style of this bootie more than makes up for that. It looks like the shoe version of an old shearling aviator jacket. I really appreaciate the treaded sole too, it makes non-slips unnecessary.
You can also wear these a second way, which of course, I forgot to photograph. You can raise the "collar" up and zip it closed. These are still available on the Aldo website at a really huge markdown. They are also available in black and all sizes are still in stock in both colors! Find them HERE.

Out of the Vault: Steve Madden Makenzie
This is one of the boots that I have owned for quite some time from Steve Madden. I don't think they make these anymore but I have seen an almost identical version from bebe.
These boots are super high, or at least they feel super high. I think I remember these being listed at 5 inches with a 1 Inch platform, but the heel feels much higher than that. The angle on these is extremely steep and I have heard tons of complaints from people saying that they are difficult to nearly-impossible to walk in. Personally, I can walk in them....... but I would have to agree with people in the sense that they are definitely not a walk in the park.
Still, besides the cons, I love these boots!

Heel Height: Not sure, feels like 5-6 inches.

The problem with this boot is that the platform is much too small for the height of the heel which puts a huge amount of pressure on the ankle. Usually, when I wear heels for hours, they hurt at the ball of my foot or anywhere that the shoe is pinching, depending on the structure, but I have never had a boot/heel hurt my ankles. Sounds hazardous! LOL.
This boot is most definitely not made for walking, so if you get your hands on one of these, make sure you wear them to places where you don't have to do a whole lot of walking. Personally, I find it takes about 30 minutes for my ankles to start hurting. Somehow, I think that walking in these gets more difficult the smaller your shoe size, but that's just a theory!
Still, besides the cons, I love these boots!

Bamboo Colada-29
I purchased this shoe a little while ago when I was on a kick for leopard print shoes, it's a basic pump with that sought after print.
Defined As: Leopard Print Satin-like Pump
I really love the tone on this particular leopard print because not all prints are made equal. Some prints can have colors that are odd shades of brown, some of the spots can look too big or cartoonish. I'm really happy with the size of the spots on these and the stained look around the spots really come together well along with the glossy black platform and heel.
These fit true to size and are easier to slide on in the toe area than my Bakers Victoria which are essentially the same shape. The bottoms are textured with some pattern which I am not too fond of since I use non slips on the soles of all my shoes. I guess the pattern will have to do until it wears down but if you don't regularly use non slips, it's probably not a big deal.
Unfortunately, since I bought these a little while ago, they are not available on Urbanog anymore, which is where I bought them. The closest thing I could find was these HERE.
These are only one example of the many leopard print pumps out there, so have fun and good luck in finding a great pair!

I'm A Bit Obssessed
This is so dangerous, I have found yet another site to peruse through when it comes to looking for great bargains on shoes. I've run across the website 6pm.com, and while many of you may have been familiar with it, I was not!!
and perhaps that was a good thing...
But oh well, now I know it exists and I have been spending a ridiculous amount of time digging for deals. I am psyched with their selection, its not like they only have 5-8 styles from a brand, they have hundreds depending on what brand you're looking at. They even have designer stuff!!
They carry familiar brands like bebe, Steve Madden, and Aldo to name a few, and I am already scoping out some selections hehehe, (Steve Madden Taalis here I come!....maybe)
But even if I don't buy anything, its still fun to look right??
Right....kind of :)

Qupid Neutral-22 in Olive
I know I took forever to finish this set of posts but here it is, the last shoe from my Urbanog order from a little while ago.
Defined As: Silk Platform Pump with Bow Accent
Also, the bow itself is not glued/attached to the toe of the shoe. If you look closely, there's a little strap running across the front, like a mary-jane strap, and this is what the bow is attached to. The only downside is that sometimes one bow might be slightly higher or lower than the other, mine seem to stay at a close level so it's not a big deal to me.
The bow:
Oh, and this shoe looks great against dark skinny jeans:
This one is still available at Urbanog HERE.
I have also seen it at gojane HERE
Defined As: Silk Platform Pump with Bow Accent
| Heel Height: 5 Inches W/ 1.25 Inch Platform |
These shoes are so awesome in terms of comfort, I actually danced in these little pumps for 3 hours before I had to sit down, and that was only because my thighs were burning, not because of my feet! They fit very true to size and the silk (man-made) is so gorgeous, it plays with the light at certain angles where sometimes it'll look olive green or kelly green.
