Back from Break

Hey guys,
Long time no see! Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving break and some fun shopping during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  I am happy to be back but it's always such a drag to get back into the cycle of things especially after having had so much fun.  Well, I guess its back to work right? Ugh... well, at least now I have the holiday season to look forward to, see ya!

Isn't it lovely, Isn't it woooon-der-fuuuuuuul?

Yes, it truly is.

This is Pier by L.A.M.B. and it is such a gorgeous, amazing lace-up ankle bootie! The structure is awesome with that huge platform and the mix of varying colors on the leather and the cool shearling cuff.

The only problem... its $395.  Now I know that a lot of people can probably afford this without batting an eyelash and I am aware that there are much more expensive shoes out there, but I keep thinking about how many cheap shoes I can get for the same price, LOL.

I know, I know, it's all in the quality of the materials and the unique designer's style but I will have to ruminate on this one for quite some time, luckily for me, they are sold out in my size, hehe.

You can probably find Pier at other stores that carry L.A.M.B., but I spotted these on Piperlime, so if you are interested in these beauties you can find them here.

...And You Can Take These Trends To The Bank! Featuring: Shearling

Shearling's not just for aviators anymore and it's turning out to be one of the most common trends this winter.  The material is perfect for colder weather as it is a great insulator of heat and adds a cozy touch to clothes and accessories.  It's super easy to incorporate into an outfit and if you opt for faux versions, you're likely to save more than a couple of pennies.

1. Aldo Ratkovich Bootie - $89.98 (Currently on sale)
2. L.L. Bean Town and Field Gloves - $29.50
3. Express (Minus The) Suede Shearling Jacket - $148.00
4. The North Face 'Gunderson' Hat - $50.00
5. American Eagle Warm &Fuzzy Tote - $39.50

Have fun!

Speed Limit 98 Jones Pump in Patent Black

I'm finally over my hurdle of work and can get back to updating! This pump is super inexpensive and can you guess what shoe it looks IDENTICAL to?

Defined As: Platform Pump

This shoe is a spot-on dupe of the Steve Madden Caryssa/Bakers Victoria.  Actually, after having bought these, I completely regret buying the Bakers version and wish I had waited.  But, I could have never known that the more affordable brands were going to copy the shoe and sell it for a quarter of what Bakers/Madden charge but I'm happy that I waited on certain colors.

I always liked the black patent ones but since I owned the black suede I couldn't convince myself to get the same color just because of the different material.  When I spotted these on the gojane website, I was floored and had to get them, they definitely did not disappoint.

As for comfort, they are alright.  They're not absolutely terrible but the padding isn't great and for some weird reason I feel as if I'm tilting forward when I walk, if that makes any sense.....  It might have to do with the build of the shoe because I never feel that with the Bakers version but then again, that's just me.

It would probably be a good idea to go half a size smaller with this heel as it feels a tad loose, it's not a whole lot bigger than my typical size, just very slightly larger.

I bought this shoe a while ago from gojane.com if you're interested, and I think I've seen other version of it at urbanog as well (glitter, animal print, etc).

The GoJane one (which is the one I purchased) can be found here.
The Urban Original version can be found here.

Have a good one!

Anyway, I am super excited to show you guys an early Christmas present I received, the Steve Madden Faame, and wow, it is GORGEOUS!

Will post when I am up and running again,

...And You Can Take These Trends To The Bank! Featuring: Jewel Tones

Jewel tones are strong indicators of fall/winter fashion and they are popping up on all kinds of items this season.  Royal purple, emerald, ruby, and sapphire tones are just a few of the color choices available in an array of items that can transform an outfit from frumpy to instant chic.  Even if you are donning an entirely black outfit, a jewel toned accessory, bag, or shoe will bring beautiful color to your ensemble that is adequate to the colder seasons.

Links provided below, you'll have to scroll a bit on the Coach website if you want a closer look at the Madison purse because there is no direct link for it.  Personally, I am eyeing the pumps, :)

1. White House Black Market Couture Pink Bow Blouse - $88.00
2. Bebe Riley Satin Pump in Deep Oasis - $119.00
3. Forever 21 Ruched Knit Mini - $11.80
4. Charlotte Russe Satin Bubble Dress - $39.50
5. Coach Madison Patent Sophia Satchel in Crimson - $358.00

Have fun!

Good luck to me??

Aldo Poldrack: More Than A Mary-Jane

Here are the latest addition to my brigade of footwear from Aldo, I've been noticing some really cool styles from them lately.

Defined As: Platform Mary-Jane with Multiple Crisscrossing Elastic Straps

5.25 Inches

The Poldrack is more on the simple side of heels in terms of looks and embellishments but it's super comfortable and it's great for those days when you just need a basic black heel that's not necessarily a pump.

The zipper in the back makes it easy to get in/out of the shoe and the elastics are super thick and aren't going to come loose anytime soon.  The whole shoe feels really well put together as is usually the case with Aldo shoes in my experience.

Finally, A More Than Decent Sale From Bakers

YES! It has been FOREVER! But Bakers is finally having a sale, not a BOGO, but a real 25% off sale...

kind of....

I guess the catch is that it doesn't count toward merchandise at regular price, it's only for sale & clearance stuff, but they do have a pretty large selection in that section as well.

AND, if you have a B Card you'll get an extra 10% off on top of that. They also have free shipping for orders over $75, so go for it before sizes start to fly!
