Alert! Steve Madden Darrina is on SALE

Yes! Finally!  So ever since I purchased the Steve Madden Darrina in Patent Blush I have been addicted to it but I didn't want to buy anymore colors while it was still full price.  Well it's on sale right now at the Steve Madden website for $69.95, so basically 30% off.

Now, I checked other websites and so far Nordstrom has the cheapest price at $65.90.
Amazon and Endless have varied prices depending on which color you buy from $73-$79.

If you are planning on buying multiple pairs, you'll be better off ordering from Steve Madden directly with the code rmn20f for 20% off plus free shipping on orders over $75.  This way each pair will cost you approximately $56 depending on the taxes where you live.

If you've been waiting on this one, now's the time for action, especially since they are pretty well stocked on sizes, so get them before they go!

I Can't Believe I Missed Them!!

Yeah, so you know that feeling when you see something you want to buy but you convince yourself you don't need it? But in reality you want it so bad?? And then when you finally shove your conscience into a closet and decide to buy the item, its sold out??? DO YOU KNOW THAT FEELING?????

...........................................

Well that's what I'm feeling, lol.

So during my typical perusing through Urban Original, I spotted these lovelies:

And yes they are practically identical to the Bakers Victoria, HOWEVER, I already own the Bakers Victoria in Patent Blush.  So why, you ask, do you want this shoe if you already own this color?

Well, when I purchased the blush patent from Bakers, I noticed that the color was a little off from what I expected.  It was blush but with more of a brownish/gray tint.  So a couple of months later I walked into Steve Madden expecting their Caryssa in blush to be identical to the Bakers, but to my great surprise it was a true beige-nude!  I wanted this color so bad but I had already worn the Bakers pair and couldn't justify buying the Steve Madden ones, I didn't want to pay that much for a slightly different tone!

So this is where my story brings us to the present.  I have found a tone identical to the Steve Madden version, YAY! But being the person that I am, I still contemplated buying a shoe so similar to one I owned, even if it was only 22 bucks.  Eventually, I convinced myself it was a great deal and was a fraction of the Madden version.

Yeah well by that time it was gone!!!

:(

BOOO!! I hate when this happens, so now I have to complain and whine to anyone who will listen, HAHA, Just kidding! They have a ton of sizes left so if you are interested in the Madden's but want to save over 70% on the price, try these out.  I, on the other hand, will sit here and wait for them to be restocked, LOL.

BYE~

...And You Can Take These Trends To The Bank! Featuring: Leopard

Yes, leopard is back with a vengeance!  This trend is exploding on the scene from celebs to everyday people on the street and you can get in on it too no matter what kind of budget you're working with.  If you can afford the pricey YSL bag, it'll definitely be a strong statement piece in your wardrobe and if you only want to add a touch of this print to your wardrobe then try the Target set, it's affordable and won't overwhelm your outfit.

Unfortunately I can't find the one-shoulder dress from New Look on the website anymore! They might have pulled the listing already, but they have tons of other great leopard print dresses and tops if you want something similar. Links below.

1. ASOS Leopard Print Hook And Eye Corset - $18.54
2. Yves Saint Laurent Leopard-Print Nylon Bowler - $1,245.00
3. TopShop Leopard Coat - $108.00
4. Target Leopard Glove and Scarf Gift Set - $16.99

I LOVE Clearance Sales! Bakers Lucy

Don't you just love searching through a clearance rack only to come out with a great find at the end? Yeah, I know, you don't have to tell me, well that's exactly how I felt when I found this little treasure in the Bakers clearance section for a crazy $29.99 and in my size!

Defined As: Platform Pump/Semi-Mary Jane

Heel Height: 5.25 Inches

The heel on Lucy is really cool looking and hard to describe.  Its almost like it starts with a rounded heel and ends at the tip in a square shape.  I can see how this shoe can be a little bit difficult to walk in for those who don't have a lot of experience in really high heels only because the sole underneath the toe area does not round upward.  I know it sounds confusing, but if you take a look at the Bakers Victoria here, you can see what I mean.  This rounding off helps to keep a smooth stride.

Entry/exit is fairly easy but since there's no zippers I can see the elastic getting worn fairly quickly.  Other than that its golden!

That's it! Make sure you check out your favorite shoe stores' clearance section soon, especially with stores getting rid of merchandise to make room for the holiday season.

Spending Splurge vs Savings Surge! Featuring: R&R and Forever 21

I had been eyeing the Rock & Republic Jolene for quite some time but wasn't really sure if I loved them enough to warrant the price.  After a couple of days of checking them out I noticed they were sold out of my size!  Although, I must admit I was secretly happy to get rid of the temptation, hehe.  After perusing through Forever 21's website a couple of weeks ago I noticed a pair of shoes that looked strikingly familiar to the Jolene, and as bad as it might sound, I was ECSTATIC!

They are called the Impression Suedette Heels, not much of a name, I know, but I went ahead an ordered them and they are already in my possession and will be putting pictures up when I get a chance.  I have not seen or tried on the Rock & Republic ones in person, however, the quality difference is obvious.  The F21 version is polyester and PVC while the R&R is leather however they are both made in China so does the leather really run them that much more?? (scoffs)

The R&R pair is absolutely gorgeous and has an awesome dark gray color, a cool little dagger looking thing for a zipper, and an incredible arch, all things the F21 version lacks. However, for all you thrifty spenders out there and those who just don't want to put down that kind of cash, the F21 version is a great alternative at a price you just can't refuse.

The Verdict: As previously mentioned, I went with the Savings Surge :)

Bebe Jemma!

I just recently got a hold of these boots and am super excited to photograph and put these up.  I was looking for the stock pic on the website but the listing is gone! Huh....weird.  But anyway, these will be at the top of my fall boot list for a while.

Steve Madden Calgarry in Grey

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well! Ok, so I'm gonna go ahead and not even mention how long it took me to post this because it's embarassing.... This post is only going to be the pictures since I reviewed the boot in terms of comfort and so on in my previous post on the black version which can be found here.  Let's begin.

...And You Can Take These Trends To The Bank! Featuring: Lace

There's a very good chance that if you walk into any kind of clothing/purse/accessory store or website you will run into lace.  It's been huge this season and is only gaining momentum with the colder seasons of fall in our midst and winter approaching.  Here are a couple of examples of how to incorporate lace into your wardrobe without breaking the bank, just make sure you don't wear them all at once!

Have a good one!

Steve Madden Langly

I have had these shoes in my possession since fairly recently and figured I'd add them to my shoe posts.  It is the Steve Madden Langly in black and is another one of those cuff-style heels.

Nail Polish: O.P.I - Feelin' Hot-Hot-Hot  (Pictures look very peach, it's actually pink!)
Defined as: Platform cuff with drawstring
Heel Height: 5 inches with 1.5 inch platform
Assets Liquidated:
NONE! Gift from family member, but I believe they are on sale for $59.95 at the moment.  Use code rmnf20 for an extra 20% off + Free Shipping!

I hate this picture! My toes look so weird on one foot, oh well, I had to show you what it looks like from a head-on point of view.  So based on my experience with Langly, these run approximately half a size small.  My toes can sometimes feel like they are too far out, this is not a problem at all when I'm sitting but obviously when I stand the weight of my body pushed the toes forward.  It's a little off but I don't want to go through the exchange hassle so I will keep these.

***UPDATE: I think these feel a little small on me because of the length of my toes which I consider to be fairly long.  If you have short/average length toes, go with your true size.***

As far as the material, it's synthetic but supposed to imitate leather somewhat.  The only annoying thing about this shoe is that the cuff around the ankle can sometimes make your skin really hot.  This probably isn't a problem for fall and beyond but if its hot, beware!

Enjoy!
