The Wedges Have Landed Pt 3: Bamboo's Driven-06

Bamboo's Driven-06 closes out the last portion of this wedge haul.  As you can see, it's very similar to the Driven-07, with the main difference being color and design on the front, but other than that, it's the same template.

Nail Polish: O.P.I - Mod About You
Priority: Medium
Qualifies as Exemption For Me: No, not wedges

Driven-06 pretty much gets an identical review to the Driven-07.  They feel the same in terms of comfort and ease of use.  However, although I'm pretty sure the material on these is the same, the straps on this wedge feel slightly more sturdy than the 07.

Instead of having the same chocolate color run from the straps onto the wedge, the heel and platform portion of the shoe feature a really cool weaved pattern in a bronze/gold tone.  The front panel of the shoe displays 4 squares with the same weave pattern and chocolate colored straps weaving through them.

A detail shot of the squares:

This wedge definitely gets two thumbs WAY up for comfort, style, and affordability.

WOOT-WOOT! Bebe heels are on their way!

Wow, I am super excited about these. The incredibly awesome Bebe Addison.....

Now, I know that not everyone is going to be a fan of this shoe, but I absolutely adore it, which is kind of funny because I HATE cuffs and technically you could classify this as a cuff....technically. I guess it's flat cuffs I have a problem with??? Well, all technicalities aside these are an awesome high heel and I can't wait to get my hands (and feet) on these soon.

The other shoe I ordered was the Bebe Bel:

I've been wanting this pair for about two months now and I finally decided to get them.

I hope all goes well in terms of delivery as I will be out of town for a couple of days and I don't want them just sitting on my front door for days.  I know that the chances of freak rain storm in the middle of summer are slim but it could happen.....well, it could!

I once had a Sephora package delivered and left on my doorstep, and since the stuff inside was makeup it meant that the box was lightweight.  So I check my tracking number and discover that my package has supposedly been delivered, but there's nothing on my doorstep.  Well, lo and behold, I find my package down the street being whipped about by the wind! Nars Laguna was safe and in one-piece, mind you, but  you get the idea, I don't want to be running down the street like a maniac looking for my shoes!

Pics once they arrive. Have a good one!

Come On bebe...

****UPDATE***: So bebe is back on my plus side, it seems like the customer service people have won me over again.  Its such a tug-and-pull experience for me with bebe, but I can see that its just a couple of rotten apples that have given me a bad experience at the store and I don't blame the entire company for it.  With that said, I ended up calling customer service about this little incident and I honestly did not expect anything out of them, I only wanted to inform them about what happened.  Well, they surprised me by offering me 10% off my purchase which , of course, I was thrilled about.  10% may not sound like a whole lot, but I definitely appreciate their initiative to make matters right.******

So I just recently received a present from a very close friend, a bebe gift card. However, I would have never known who the card was from since apparently bebe forgot to write down who it was for, who it was from, and the message section was blank.

I actually sat there wondering who sent it to me, and I didn't find out until my friend asked me if I had received it. It's not a massive deal, but I'm just surprised that a supposedly "high end" store would mess up something as simple as a gift card. Don't get me wrong, I love bebe, but even JcPenney and Kohl's wouldn't get this wrong since it was about the easiest kind of order they could fulfill.

I don't really know what to think, I love their clothes but I can't defend their service 100%. Customer service has never been too steady for me at the stores I've visited. Some have been great, and others absolutely horrible, lol.

What about you guys? Has your service been up to par?

The Wedges Have Landed: Bakers Terina

So, I've decided to break this into a three part post for the purpose of organization and ease.  I like being very thorough when I photograph my shoes so that readers can see the shoe from different perspectives that may not be displayed on websites.  With all that boredom being said, this first post goes to the beautiful Bakers Terina.

Nail Polish: Maybelline Wet Shine in Cherry Rain 180
Defined As: Stacked Platform Faux Snakeskin Wedge

Terina is very comfortable and super easy to walk in, but then again I practically eat, sleep, and breathe in heels so the comfort can change from person to person depending on their experience in heels.  Anyway, these are high wedges measuring up at almost 5 inches, but despite the height the structure of the straps really seals your foot in and doesn't leave much room for slippage.

The straps feature faux-snake print on them and double buckles around the ankle along with a strip of cork on the outer sole.  The straps are a bit thin which, I admit, can be a downside for some people, however, I prefer thinner straps because they seem to flex easier with the movement of the foot and also because they don't overwhelm smaller feet.  But that's all personal preference on my behalf, so try them out for yourself and decide!

A detail shot of the faux-snake print:

****Update****:  So Terina is cheaper than ever!!  Head over to the Bakers website ASAP, the black and gold are still available for $29.99!!  It's a great shoe at an even greater price!****

Wedges Galore!!

So I took advantage of the fact that Bakers has been reducing prices on sandals and summer footwear, this means huge discounts on wedges! I picked up one pair as most sizes have been picked over, and I saved an extra 10% using my B Card.

I also visited urbanog.com and they have a HUGE selection of wedges. There were tons that I liked but settled with these two...for now...

Driven-06 by Bamboo

As you can see, I LOVE super tall wedges with huge platforms. They're sexy and summery all in one, plus they are more attention grabbing than my shorter wedges. More pics once I receive these, bye!

Bakers Fall Boot Preview

It still feels like summer around here, but Bakers, like other shoe companies, is unveiling their first set of fall boots. Some of these styles are repeats from earlier this year but there are a couple of styles that have caught my eye.

Hidee.

Sharla.

There's a couple of knee high boots as well, but nothing I'm too crazy about. I'll have to see these in person to decide if they are for me.

Wow, That took forever! Steve Madden Vaaley

WOW, Its been way over a month so let's get right to it :). I received the Steve Madden Vaaley a couple of days after my previous post but I completely neglected taking pictures, but no worries, here they are.

Nail Polish: Maybelline Wet Shine in Cherry Rain 180
Heel Height: 5.5 inches
Defined As: Platform Bootie

The material feels like a strong canvas and is probably not likely to have the seams fall apart. The zipper can be a little tough to work with, I wear a size 6 in everything but this was a little hard to zip up so I'd suggest going half a size up, however, if you like a snug fit like I do, stick with your size. Once your foot is in and zipped, its ultra secure.

The 5.5 heel height is super easy to walk in because its an enclosed shoe, which I love because enclosed heels always feel like tennis shoes to me, lol. The bottom sole feels like faux suede, which I'm not really sure how I feel about that because I don't know if my non slips will stick to this material. The braiding adds a nice touch to the shoe and gives it some oomph.

A detail shot of the braiding:

All in all, I'm super happy with these, they've got just a slight touch of edge and yet are still so feminine. I'll be looking forward to more Steve Madden styles for the fall.
