Doing It For The FAAME

Here is one of the latest additions to my shoe library, it is the Steve Madden Faame.  This shoe is almost exactly identical to the Christian Louboutin Madame Butterfly booties, except that those are real leather while the Madden's are satin.  It's definitely an odd choice of material and I just now realized that it is the first satin shoe that I own.

Defined As: Triple Bow Satin Platform Bootie
Nail Polish: China Glaze - Blue Sparrow with clear topcoat

I know that some people really dislike designer dupes/knockoffs, but I personally don't mind.  There's also people who hate designer duds because they consider the prices outrageous for what the item is "actually worth." I don't mind either way, if you love it and can afford it, then buy it.  But as of the moment, I don't have thousands in disposable income, so I will stick to the Madden's :)

I'm really happy with these shoes, however, I will have to look up care instructions on this material, specifically since footwear gets so much more wear-and-tear than clothing.  They are super comfortable and easy to walk-in.

The only tiny little thing that bothers me, personally, is that when I zip them up, they don't hug my ankle as tight as I would like them to.  Again, this is a personal preference thing, but it's a huge pet peeve of mine when shoes don't wrap around my foot, like when they have that huge gap around your ankle, it just looks like a bad fit to me.  But luckily for me, its not that huge, and I love these heels to much that I can disregard that little gap.

They also have these in Champagne in case you're interested!
